Project Summary:
This 5-star resort has been home to numerous projects for our team over the last ten years. In 2016, we completed a major renovation of The Phoenician Resort, bringing life and vibrancy back to the property. The 643 guestrooms received a complete revamp, updating their mid-1980s style to a more modern, luxurious experience. Once complete, work began on the public spaces and a total rebuild of the spa. The lobby was transformed into a fresh, welcoming environment designed to meet all travelers’ needs. The new three-level spa includes 24 treatment rooms, a fitness center, a rooftop pool, retail shop, and salon. During 2018, construction of a new two-story Athletic Club was completed, adding a 4,600-square-foot fitness center and seven new tennis courts, including a tournament court.
In 2023, we began a comprehensive renovation of 100,000 square feet of ballroom and meeting space. The project was phased over two years to align with the property’s busy event schedule and required carefully coordinated access and double-shift work.
In 2024, construction began on eight new single-story villas consisting of 20 luxury suites. Each structure includes two- and three-bedroom units totaling 21,000 square feet. The suites feature full-size kitchens in the main living areas and jacuzzi tubs on the exterior patios. The adjacent public amenity area includes a new community pool, spa, public restrooms, and an outdoor bar.
